Oftentimes we take the most common objects and
ideas in our life for granted. Perhaps its their commonality and always accessible
nature that causes us to glaze over them whenever we walk past it in our homes,
offices, or in public. But more often than not, these objects are the very
building blocks to our society. From chairs to pens and computers to envelopes,
we owe a lot to the everyday things that we get use out of.
For example, think of a cardboard box.
Typically, what’s brought to mind is the stereotypical brown box that is square
or rectangular. This is what anyone would probably think of first, right? But
wouldn’t you think there are other packaging supplies specialty boxes out there
for a multitude of uses? Today we’re going to open up the flaps on a few styles
of boxes that are unknown to most. Check ‘em out!
Boxes
with handles.
Most boxes actually come as you would expect:
perfectly box shaped. But every now and then, you’ll find some with some extra
thick corrugated cardboard handles made specifically for carrying. Of course,
after so much weight, they’ll likely break because of its max capacity. Still,
these are especially great for carrying things up and down the stairs or just
having around for when you’ll need to carry multiple items from one room to the
next. You’ll also find the handle at the top of the box sometimes, which allows
the contents to remain within the box, safely stored away. Either way, choose
what fits your needs.
Tall
clothes-hanging boxes.
These are actually quite new to me, but
they’ve got to be my new favorite
type of packaging supplies. They tend to be relatively tall, about 4 or 5 feet
tall. From the outside they look pretty ordinary, albeit a bit larger than
normal. But, when you open the box, you’ll find a single metal bar going across
the inside of the box. The purpose of the box, and the metal bar inside, is to
allow you to store and transport hanging clothes. It’s genius! The metal bar is
specifically for hanging clothes up inside the box, which can keep them
protected from the elements or shipping/moving.
Ultimately, there are more boxes out there
than you would guess, all because manufacturers know what people need or want.
If there’s a box you need specifically made for a certain situation, it’s
almost undoubtedly out there. And if it’s not? They can be custom made.
